🏖️Tips
🔹 Cash
It’s a good idea to exchange some cash beforehand, although most places accept credit cards (make sure they have a chip or contactless payment).
🔹 Accommodation
If you’re traveling in a group, consider staying in vacation rentals for better value than hotels.
🔹 Maps
Use Google Maps for up-to-date information on opening hours and prices of attractions and restaurants.
🏖️Transportation
🔹 Public Transport
Check Omio for train and bus schedules, and book tickets in advance for better deals. If you prefer flexible travel, a combination of trains and buses is convenient.
🔹 Self-Driving
Renting a car through Carjet can be cost-effective. However, keep in mind that the UK drives on the left, and there are many roundabouts, so driving experience is recommended.
🏖️Highlights:
🔹 Seven Sisters Cliffs
Personally, I recommend exploring the cliffs between Eastbourne and Seaford rather than the famous Dover cliffs. The scenery here is the real gem! Must-visit spots include Beachy Head, Belle Tout Lighthouse, and Birling Gap.
🔹 Cuckmere Haven
Visit the location where the iconic scene from the movie “Atonement” was filmed, with stunning cliffside and dreamy seaside cottages.
🔹 Lewes
Among the charming towns on the route, Lewes stands out. It’s not large, but you’ll find plenty of medieval shops to discover unique items!
🔹 Old Harry Rocks
Witness the spectacular sight of this “green tea cake” formation on the Jurassic Coast.
🔹 St Ives
A perfect summer destination in the UK! Relax and enjoy the beautiful coastal getaway.
🔹 St Michael’s Mount
Similar to a French castle on the sea, this place offers a unique view that changes with the tides, sometimes covered in morning mist.
🔹 Bath
The hometown of “The Grain” magazine’s founder, Bath is an ideal city to unwind and spend a few leisurely days.
Prepare for an unforgettable journey along the stunning South Coastline, filled with captivating landscapes and delightful experiences!
